The Queen pulls out of engagement after “feeling under the weather”

Buckingham Palace has said that The Queen is feeling “under the weather” and has decided not to attend an engagement on Thursday.

The 92-year-old Monarch was due to attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral marking the 200th anniversary of the Order of St Michael and St George.

The Queen’s cousin, the Duke of Kent, will now attend the engagement in place of Her Majesty.

It is understood that there is no cause for alarm following the cancelling of this engagement and that there has been no involvement from doctors or hospitals.

Her Majesty will still travel to Windsor this afternoon as planned and has a busy few days ahead next week in Scotland as she conducts a variety of engagements during her annual summer visit to the country.
