The Princess Royal has spoken briefly about her father, the Duke of Edinburgh, during an engagement in Lancashire this morning.
When asked how the Duke was, Princess Anne replied: “I’ve got no idea. You know where I am? In the same place as you.”

The Queen’s daughter made the comments during a visit to Edge Hill University.
The Princess Royal cancelled an earlier engagement in Lancashire on Friday.
According to a Buckingham Palace, Princess Anne cancelled her visit due to “adverse weather conditions”.
Her Royal Highness was due to visit the Parbold Equestrian Centre.
There is no suggestion that Princess Anne’s cancelation was due to the car accident which her father, the Duke of Edinburgh, was involved in on Thursday.
Last year, the Princess Royal was deemed to be the ‘busiest royal’ after clocking up more engagements than any other royal.
In total, the Princess carried out 518 engagements, and she looks likely to conduct just as many this year.
