Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, have welcomed a second son – and they took almost a week to announce their happy news.
Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank arrived on May 30th 2023 with his proud parents confirming the addition to their family on June 5th 2023.
The baby boy, who weighed 7lbs 1 oz, joins big brother August, who has just turned two.
Princess Eugenie shared a photo of her two sons as she made her announcement, adding that ”Augie is loving being a big brother already.”

Princess Eugenie revealed that the newest addition to the Royal Family takes his names from three ancestors. Ernest is one of the names of his great, great, great grandfather, George V. George is in honour of his paternal grandfather, George Brooksbank, who died last year. Ronnie is a nod to Eugenie’s maternal grandfather, Ronald Ferguson.
Ernest Brooksbank is thirteenth in line to the throne and a thirteenth great grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. He is the first of their great grandchildren to be born after the death of Her Late Majesty.
