Lady Amelia and Lady Marina Windsor are not invited to the royal wedding

Lady Amelia Windsor and her sister Lady Marina have not been invited to the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Saturday.

According to The Sun, the 37th-in-line to the throne has not received an invitation to attend the wedding.

Her elder sister, Lady Marina, has also been left off this list. Marina is not included in the line of succession to the throne as she is a Roman Catholic.

The Windsor sisters are third cousins to Prince Harry. Their grandparents are the Duke and Duchess of Kent; the Duke being a first cousin to Her Majesty The Queen.

Their parents are the Earl and Countess of St Andrews. It is unclear whether they will be attending the wedding, but the Duke of Kent is almost certainly invited, with the Duchess likely to accompany her husband.

Lady Amelia Windsor has a successful modelling career and recently to the runway at the Dolce & Gabbana show in Milan, and also participated in a campaign for Penelope Chilvers, one of the favourite designers of the Duchess of Cambridge.

She is Goddaughter to the Prince of Wales, and it is known that Prince Charles once took her to see Shrek the Musical as a treat in London.

The fact that Amelia and Marina have not been invited to the wedding is hardly a snub. It has been known for some time that the occasion will be a small affair with only a few hundred guests in the chapel.

As such, extended family members such as third cousins were likely not to be invited.

Also not attending the wedding are foreign heads of states and royals from overseas.
