The Balmoral Estate was originally purchased by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in the mid-nineteenth century. Both were very fond of Scotland and enjoyed their time spent on the Estate.
The Royal Family has continued to spend their late summer and early autumn at Balmoral, with different family members visiting throughout.
Queen Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral Castle on 8 September 2022.
