Queen Camilla to attend a special teddy bears picnic with Paddington in memory of Elizabeth II

Her Majesty Queen Camilla will attend a special teddy bears picnic on Thursday 24th November, where she will pay a touching tribute to her late mother-in-law, Elizabeth II.

The picnic will be hosted at by Barnardo’s – a charity Camilla became patron of in 2016 after taking over from Queen Elizabeth II, who had held the role herself for 30 years.

During the visit, Her Majesty will personally deliver Paddingtons and other cuddly toys that were left as tributes to the late monarch at Royal Residences across the UK.

The Queen Consort will be joined at the picnic by children who are supported by Bow Nursery, and Barnardoā€™s staff, alongside key characters from the world of Paddington.

The stars of the Paddington film franchise Hugh Bonneville and Madeleine Harris, who play Mr Brown and Judy Brown, will be in attendance, as will Paddington author Michael Bondā€™s daughter Karen Jankel.Ā

Last month, Buckingham Palace announced that over 1,000 teddy bears left outside royal residences in the days after Elizabeth IIā€™s death will be cleaned and delivered to their new homes.
