The Kents

The Duchess of Kent carries out rare public official engagement to support young people in music

The Duchess of Kent has hosted a special concert, celebrating her love of music and encouragement for young performers.

The Duchess, along with her husband, attended a reception and concert at St. James’ Palace supporting the work of the charity, Future Talent

The Duchess of Kent helped to cofound Future Talent, a not-for-profit organisation that offers support to young people who come from low-income backgrounds to work towards a career in music.

It’s part of her long standing work in music.

The Duchess, who turned 90 earlier this year, was listed in the Court Circular as attending an official event for the first time in nearly five years as she hosted the concert.

The musical evening took place on June 8th 2023.

The Duke and Duchess had another reason to celebrate that evening. The couple were also marking their 62nd wedding anniversary, marrying at York Minister on June 8th 1961.
