Buckingham Palace has shared a brand new image of The King with his sister to mark the birthday of The Princess Royal.
In the photo, taken on Coronation Day, the newly crowned Charles III is seen smiling broadly at Princess Anne who beams at him with pride.
The portrait was captured by Chris Jackson of Getty Images and was shared on the official Royal Family social media on the morning that the Princess turned 73.
Alongside it was another image of the siblings, taken at Clarence House before their mother ascended the throne as Queen Elizabeth II. It shows the two in their prams, next to one another, with big brother, Charles, leaning in to speak to Anne.
In another striking reminder of the changes that have taken place, that image is noted as belonging to the Royal Collection Trust and His Majesty King Charles III.
Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise was born on August 15th 1950 at Clarence House in London. The second child and only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, she was made Princess Royal in 1987.
