The Duke of Gloucester keeps busy in isolation as he conducts engagements via telephone

The Duke of Gloucester has been keeping busy during his time in isolation as he conducts numerous engagements over the telephone.

Over the past few days, Prince Richard has carried out five engagements from his home in the grounds of Kensington Palace.

The Duchess of Gloucester has also taken part in a couple of virtual engagements, having held meetings over the phone.

On Monday, Buckingham Palace released a photograph of The Queen’s cousin during one of his telephone meetings.

The Duke was speaking to staff at the Scottish Veterans Residences for an update on their services, and how the veterans they support are coping in the current challenging circumstances.

Prince Richard is Patron in Chief of the Scottish Veterans Residences – the country’s oldest ex-service charity, founded in 1910.

As well as speaking on the telephone, the Duke has also made the most of a conference call system to continue carrying out engagements.

Last week, the 75-year-old royal held a conference call with volunteers of the Guild of the Royal Hospital of St Bartholomew.
