It’s not every day one gets to wear a tiara. For Queen Camilla, it’s becoming more of a norm. While many await to see what tiara she picks for her state visit to France, here is a look back at all the tiaras The Queen has worn.

Embed from Getty ImagesJust six months after marrying then-Prince Charles, the then-Duchess of Cornwall had her first tiara moment at a banquet at Buckingham Palace. She wore the Delhi Durbar Tiara that was borrowed from Queen Elizabeth II. This was the third time the piece had been seen in public.
The tiara was made in 1911 for Queen Mary to mark the coronation of a new Emperor or Empress of India. The Queen Mother wore this on a family tour of South Africa in 1947. When she died in 2002, it was passed on to Queen Elizabeth II. While she never wore it in public, she was seen wearing the Cullinan III and IV as a brooch during her Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

Embed from Getty ImagesFor a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, the Greville Tiara was chosen. It was a particularly big event as Prince Charles represented Queen Elizabeth and opened the event.
The diamond and emerald tiara were one of at least two diadems delivered to Buckingham Palace in 1943. Delivered in a trunk, Dame Margaret Greville kept one and gave the other to her friend, The Queen Mother. The tiara was a signature piece of The Queen Mother, although she never wore the emerald kokoshnik in public.

Embed from Getty ImagesAt a Royal Academy Annual Dinner, the future queen wore a floral Cubitt Tiara, reportedly a Shand family heirloom. She first wore it for her wedding to her first husband, Andrew Parker Bowles, in 1973.

Embed from Getty ImagesThe Belgian Sapphire Tiara was the first tiara Camilla wore as Queen Consort following the September 2022 accession of her husband, King Charles III. The piece belonged to Queen Elizabeth II and was picked for the first state visit of the new reign.
The tiara was originally a necklace that belonged to Louise of Belgium, Princess of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in 1958. In 1963, Queen Elizabeth converted it into a tiara as she added it to her collection.

Embed from Getty ImagesAlthough it is not a tiara, The Queen wore Queen Mary’s Crown during the Coronation of King Charles. The crown was reset with diamonds from Queen Elizabeth’s collection. This marked the first time in “recent history” that an existing crown was used for a coronation rather than a new one being made.
While it is unknown what tiara will be chosen for the state visit to France, it could be one of the tiaras listed above.
