Love texting about Meghan and Kate? There’s an emoji for that

When you’re texting your friends about the latest royal news and you’ve exhausted your usual royal gifs, you might want to break out the big guns. Yes, there are now Royal Family emojis.

Officially launched this past week, the KATEMOJI and MeghanMoji apps are now available in more than 155 countries. The apps feature 100 emoji stickers, animated emojis, and hand-lettered word and phrase emojis by artist Cathy Yu.

With everything from a Breton stripe top to an emoji of Charles, William, and Harry in sunglasses, you’ll find a royal emoji for nearly any occasion (a shirtless Harry drinking out of a coconut will definitely become your go-to “on holiday” emoji).

The KATEMOJI and MeghanMoji apps highlight each duchess’s style, personality, and iconic moments, including emojis from both of the royal weddings. You also can choose from hand-lettered phrases like “I love a ginger,” “American princess,” “absobloodylutely,” or “WWKD.”

“Meghan’s hand-lettering became a familiar sight to followers of her Instagram account and her blog, The Tig,” DRKHORS Media said in a press release. “Our hand-lettered emojis are a nod to Meghan’s love of the art.”

The Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex have plenty of their own emojis on the apps, but other family members like The Queen make appearances, and there are emojis for the royal children, too. An animated dancing Princess Charlotte might just replace your tried-and-true ‘dancing lady in a red dress’ emoji.

Artist Cathy Yu said, “When I sat down to put pen to paper (the tried and true pencil sketch), I set out to create hand-lettered designs that embraced the distinct styles of Kate and Meghan. I tried to capture the emotions evoked from not only seeing images of these amazing women but researching what people close to them have said about their character and causes that are close to their heart. I sketched styles that I find embody their style, their strength, and their leadership.
