The Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex have sent out a joint statement denying newspaper claims about their relationship. Although the report they objected to wasn’t clarified in the announcement, it’s believed to relate to a piece claiming that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex felt they were being pushed out of the House of Windsor in part because of actions by William described as ”bullying”.
The rare declaration came as the two princes joined their father, the Prince of Wales, and their grandmother, the Queen, at Sandringham to discuss the future of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex following their shock announcement that they are stepping back from being senior members of the Royal Family.
The statement read:
”Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge.
For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful”.
