The Princess Royal tells Team GB to ‘enjoy the experience’ as they prepare to go for gold at the Beijing Winter Olympics

Princess Anne sends good luck message to Team GB ahead of the Beijing Winter Olympics

The Princess Royal has told British Olympians to ‘enjoy the experience’ as the Opening Ceremony of the Beijing Winter Games approaches.

Princess Anne, who is President of the British Olympics Association, also told Team GB’s athletes that she wished them ”every success’ as they get ready to compete at the 2022 Games.

In a special video message, the Princess shared her own memories from her time as an Olympian – she competed in the 1976 Summer Games in Montreal.

Anne said ”As your President, I would like to wish you every success for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games. “I remember from my own Olympic career, everyone experiences their own levels of anticipation and excitement of stepping onto the Olympic stage. I know that you have all worked incredibly hard for this moment, overcoming the additional hurdles during these most challenging of times, and that you will do everything possible to make the nation, and yourselves, proud. “Enjoy the experience, and good luck.”

The Beijing Winter Olympics take place from February 4th until February 20th 2022.
