Aides have confirmed that The Queen, the Prince of Wales and all royals aged over 70 will go into isolation should that be what the government advises.
The government is expected to advise all residents of the United Kingdom over the age of 70 to self isolate in their homes for a period of up-to four months.
This would include The Queen, the Prince of Wales & the Duchess of Cornwall.
Coronavirus COVID-19 particularly discriminates against the elderly and those with respiratory problems. With the virus expected to spread rapidly, plans are being made ready so the most vulnerable are protected.
This would see senior members of The Royal Family being forced to self-isolate, including The Queen who turns 94-years-old next month.
The elderly heir to the throne, 71-year-old Prince Charles, may also have to stay in isolation in Clarence House alongside the 72-year-old Duchess of Cornwall.
If such measures are implemented, the only working members of The Royal Family eligible to carry on without isolating will be the Earl & Countess of Wessex and the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge.
Princess Anne is also in the clear, but not for long as she turns 70-years-old in a few months time.
The Duke & Duchess of Sussex & the Duke of York have recently stepped back from official duties.
The Royal Family will follow whatever advice the government issues, setting an example to others.
This will mean the royal diary will be severely disrupted, with events including Royal Ascot and Trooping the Colour likely to be cancelled.
