Royal baby on the way in Jordan

Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan are expecting their first child.

The heir to the Hashemite throne and his wife will welcome their baby in the summer.

The new arrival will make King Abdullah II and Queen Rania grandparents for the first time.

In a short statement, issued on the morning of April 10th 2024, the Hashemite Court said it was ”pleaded to announce Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah and Princess Rajwa Al Hussein are expecting their first baby this summer.”

It added ”The Royal Hashemite Court extends its sincere congratulations to Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Ranja Al Abdullah on this occasion and wishes Their Royal Highnesses Crown Prince Al Hussein and Princess Rajwa good health and joy as their welcome their baby.”

Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa married in June 2023 in front of royalty from around the world.
