Queen Camilla says Princess of Wales will be ”thrilled” with get well soon wishes

The Queen has been presented with warm messages for the Princess of Wales and told the wellwishers that Catherine will be ”thrilled” with all the support being sent her way.

Queen Camilla spoke as she was handed posters for the Princess on a walkabout in Shrewsbury.

Looking at the artwork of Harriet, aged 10, and Lois, 6, The Queen said that ”I know that Catherine is thrilled by all the kind wishes and support”.

Her Majesty was welcomed by huge crowds as she arrived in the town for a series of engagements.

The Queen was also regaled with get well soon messages for The King and expressed her thanks for all of them. And she was presented with a drawing of her and her husband which also got a royal seal of approval.

Queen Camilla’s visit saw her tour Shrewsbury Farmers’ Market and speak to many of the stallholders.

There was also a visit to the newly restored Flaxmill Maltings where Her Majesty met volunteer groups and joined in an activity session where she helped create a spring wreath.

The visit to Shrewsbury on March 27th came just ahead of Her Majesty taking on one of the oldest royal duties of all. On March 28th 2024, The Queen will present Maundy Money on behalf of The King at Worcester Cathedral. The ancient tradition has been carried out for centuries.
