Queen Camilla was in Bath this week to visit the Dyson Cancer Centre and shared some new information about King Charles III’s progress as he is treated for cancer.
The Queen spent part of Tuesday in Bath to open the brand new Dyson Cancer Centre, a new addition to the Royal United Hospital.
Embed from Getty ImagesThe £50m centre has greatly expanded services at the RUH in Bath and now includes: oncology, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, 22 new in-patient beds, as well as state of the art research facilities. It can treat up to 300 patients per day.
Queen Camilla was on hand to officially open the new centre and formally unveil a plaque before meeting with several patients undergoing treatment and staff members. In her welcome speech, she highlighted what makes the certain so special, saying ”It’s got a very welcoming atmosphere, and you can see that it actually raises people’s spirits in very difficult times.”

The King is currently at Balmoral in Aberdeenshire, where the Monarch typically spends the late summer and early autumn.
