Princess Anne chooses a bucket hat for visit to Olympic Village

Princess Anne and Sir Tim Laurence are currently holding down the Olympics for the Royal Family as they cheer on Team GB in Paris. On day five, the Princess Royal made a fashion statement with a truly millennial piece.

Princess Anne and her husband visited Team GB House in Paris, the home of British athletes in the Olympic Village. They were able to chat with many different Team GB athletes about their time at the games and what they’ve experiences.

She chose a casual ensemble of a light blue three-quarter sleeve shirt, navy blue sweatpants and a pair of black Adidas trainers.

It was Princess Anne’s hat, though, that grabbed the attention of millennials everywhere.

The Princess Royal chose a white and blue Adidas Team GB bucket hat to finish off her look on Wednesday, and it is the Olympic fashion statement that we all needed.

Princess Anne is the President of the British Olympic Association and has been a member of the International Olympic Committee since 1988.

She also is one of only two members of the British Royal Family to compete in the Olympic Games; she rode for Great Britain in eventing at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal. Her daughter, Zara Tindall, won the Silver Medal in Team Eventing at the 2012 London Olympics.
