Prince William speaks of concerns over anti-semitism

The Prince of Wales has spoken out about an increase in antisemitism.

During a visit to a synagogue in London, Prince William said ‘’both Catherine and I are extremely concerned about the rise of anti-semitism.’’

His comments came as he spent time at the Western Marble Arch Synagogue.

He met young ambassadors of the Holocaust Educational Trust which works to tackle hatred and promote community cohesion.

The prince discussed how the ambassadors ensure that hate is identified and stopped. He heard about the ‘Lessons from Auschwitz’ programme which young people go on with the Trust. They travel to Auschwitz-Birkenau to see first hand where antisemitism can lead. They share those experiences with others as part of their work as ambassadors.

During his visit to the synagogue, Prince William also met Holocaust survivor Renee Salt who spoke of her work against hate.
