First warrants of the reign of King Charles revealed

A new list of 145 Royal Warrant Holders has been released following a review after the Coronation.

Who has issued the new royal warrants?

The King, The Queen, and other senior royals can grant a royal warrant, and several new companies have been included in this list.

As Buckingham Palace explains: “A Royal Warrant of Appointment is granted as a mark of recognition to people or companies who have regularly supplied goods or services to the Royal Household”, and it lasted five years. This warrant allows the business itself to include royal arms in packaging, advertising, and more.

Continuing support for local suppliers

Corgi Hosiery, based in Ammanford, Wales, has produced luxury socks and knitwear since 1892 and has been granted a Royal Warrant for The King after having been granted one when he was Prince of Wales.

The King has also granted a Royal Warrant to London Scribes, a calligraphy service in London. Calligrapher Jenny Collier shares, “Being granted the new Warrant by His Majesty The King is a huge honour. The Royal Warrant brings worldwide attention to U.K. businesses who work hard to uphold the highest standards and maintain traditional skills.”

Her Majesty The Queen has also granted a handful of Royal Warrants, including one to jeweller Wartski and another to Shane Connolly, the florist who not only supplied floral arrangements for the 2005 wedding of The King and Queen but also for their 2023 Coronation.

Several royal warrants have been renewed, in addition to the new warrants being announced. Grocer Fortnum and Mason has had their Royal Warrants renewed and remain a favourite of the family.
