All eyes on Monaco as a much talked about couple prepare for a big event

All eyes will be on Monaco in the coming days as Prince Albert and Princess Charlene host one of the most talked about couples in the world.

The Prince and Princess of Monaco are set to welcome the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, Brigitte, for a State Visit.

The French President and First Lady will arrive in the Principality on June 7 for a two day stay.

Their last big trip brought huge controversy after footage emerged that appeared to show Brigitte Macron shoving her husband in the face as the plane doors opened on their arrival in Vietnam.

Emmanuel Macron later said the couple were ‘horsing around’ when the cameras caught them.

The French State Visit to Monaco will start on June 7 with the arrival of Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron bound to attract attention after the start of their last international trip.

The State Visit will run across the weekend and include a State Dinner held in the Throne Room of the Prince’s Palace in Monaco.

Prince Albert and President Macron will be at the Blue Economy and Finance Forum on June 8. Prince William will also attend this event which takes place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

Princess Charlene and Brigitte Macron will head to the Louis II Stadium for an event highlighting the water safety work carried out by the foundation run by the princess. The programme aims to save lives through preventing drowing.

After the State Visit ends, Prince Albert and President Macron will travel to Nice for the third  United Nations Conference on the Ocean.
