Royal Christmas

A portrait of calm for a prince in his first Christmas as head of a dynasty

It is the first Christmas for the Greek Royal Family without King Constantine and with Crown Prince Pavlos as head of the family.

Crown Princess Marie-Chantal has shared her family’s Christmas card on Instagram wishing everyone “peace, love, happiness, and sunshine.”

The card features a picture of the Crown Prince and Crown Princess with their five children: Princess Olympia, Prince Constantine, Prince Achileas, Prince Odysseus and Prince Aristides.

A Christmas and New Year message is included on the card in both English and Greek.

The image is a portrait of calm for the family as 2023 marked a year of firsts without their beloved patriarch. King Constantine died on 10 January 2023, and as the first anniversary creeps ever closer, the family needs a sense of calm to get them through their first Christmas and the anniversary of his death.

The Crown Prince and Crown Princess reside in the United States, but it is unknown if they will spend the Christmas holiday there or in Europe.
