‘Boris’ would be a nice name for Royal Baby says Boris Johnson

Boris Johnson has suggested Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge call their first child Boris, even if it’s a girl.

“I’ve always thought Boris is a nice name for a girl!,” the London mayor revealed in a Twitter conversation on Thursday morning.

Boris Johnson has suggested the couple call their child ‘Boris’

His recommendation comes after a fan asked him “What do you want to call the Royal Baby,” which led to his suggestion for his own name.

The Mayor’s comments come as the world continues to wait for the arrival of baby Cambridge. Since July 1, members of the media from around the world have been camped outside the Lindo Wing, where Kate is expected to give birth, and Buckingham Palace.

While no official due date has been given apart from mid-July, it has been widely expected the Duchess would give birth this week.

Boris revealed his name suggestion in a tweet conversation.

Earlier this week, The Queen revealed she is eagerly awaiting the baby’s birth and told children at Lake Windermere she hopes the little one arrives before she goes on holiday.

“I would very much like to arrive, I’m going on holiday,” the 87-year-old monarch revealed after being asked about the impending arrival.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently in Berkshire staying at Kate’s parents’ house while they prepare for the baby, although Palace officials have made it clear the Duchess still intends on travelling to the Paddington hospital to give birth.
