In The Queen’s Birthday Honour’s List that has just announced, Tom Hardy has been awarded a CBE or Commander of the British Empire for services to drama.
He is one of two famous actors being awarded for drama. The other being Emma Thompson who is being awarded a Damehood for services to drama.

The actor and producer was born in Hammersmith, London in 1977.
He made his film debut in 2001 in the popular Black Hawk Down.
Since then, he has become a popular leading man in films such as The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk, The Revenant and Mad Max: Fury Road.
In addition to his film career, he has acted on stage on both sides of the pond and made many television appearances, more recently Peaky Blinders and Taboo which he was also a co-creator and executive producer on.
Tom Hardy is an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust and read part of the Invictus poem alongside other well-known faces in the promotional video for Prince Harry’s Invictus Games before the inaugural games in London 2014.
Hardy and his wife, Charlotte Riley were guests at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding in May. It is said that Prince Harry and he have been friends for some time.
It was also reported that Tom Hardy shared a cameo scene with Princes Harry and William in The Last Jedi. Unfortunately, the scene was cut from the movie so no one got to witness the trio as Storm Troopers in the Star Wars film.
Hardy has been nominated for and won numerous awards, including British Actor of the Year by London Film Critics’ Circle Award for his work in Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant and London Road.
The Queen’s Birthday Honours, which is one of the two annual honours lists released (the other at New Year’s) in which individuals who have made a contribution to public life, in one way or another, are honoured for their service.
