The President of the United States, Donald Trump, is being widely ridiculed on social media after referring to Prince Charles as the ‘Prince of Whales’.
The heir to the throne, who is, in fact, the Prince of Wales, met President Trump during his state visit to the United Kingdom earlier this month.
Taking to Twitter, President Trump tweeted: “I meet and talk to “foreign governments” every day. I just met with the Queen of England (U.K.), the Prince of Whales, the P.M. of the United Kingdom, the P.M. of Ireland, the President of France and the President of Poland. We talked about “Everything!”
The President has widely been mocked on social media following the revelation that he cannot differentiate between Wales the country and whales the animal.
