How Eugene Levy got a big surprise when he stepped inside the doors of one of the most famous royal homes in the world

Canadian actor Eugene Levy has shared his thoughts on getting a private royal tour of Windsor Castle for the new season of his show, The Reluctant Traveler

Levy’s Apple TV+ show sees him visiting some of the most extreme and impressive places around the globe.

The third season included a visit to Windsor Castle, the oldest largest occupied castle in Europe. And his tour guide was none other than the Prince of Wales.

Prince William gave Levy a personal tour of the castle and the grounds. While giving an interview, Levy recognised, ‘if you are touring Windsor Castle, there’s no better person to take you through it than somebody who actually lives there.. it was a once in a lifetime experience. It was pretty incredible. He was an extremely gracious host and had a good sense of humour, and we had the greatest time together. He was gracious enough to offer up insights into what his life is’.

The heir to throne also admitted to Levy that he has seen American Pie, Levy’s raunchy 1999 film. During the episode, Prince William also asked the actor if drinking with the Prince of Wales is on his bucket list.

The new season of The Reluctant Traveler premiered on 19 September on Apple Tv+.
