Hints of Christmas past on latest royal festive greeting

The royal Christmas cards are flooding in thick and fast as the big day approaches. The latest is from the Belgian Royal Family who shared the photo that features on their card on social media.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde have shared the portrait on their 2024 Christmas card.

They have been joined by all four of their children for the formal portrait: Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant (23), Prince Gabriel (21), Prince Emmanuel (19), and Princess Eleonore (16).

Queen Mathilde chose a bright blue midi-dress featuring a wide boat neckline and a pair of black pumps.

Princess Elisabeth wore a luxurious burgundy jumpsuit from DVF- Diane von Furstenburg. It is a go-to holiday look for the Duchess of Brabant, as she wore the jumpsuit in 2019 when she attended a Christmas concert.

This is the Monica jumpsuit that features notched lapels, a wide satin sash at the waist, and wide legged pants. The velvet and satin fabric provide a warmth perfect for the holiday season.

Princess Eleonore wore a navy, ruffled lamé dress from Maje, a favourite brand with young royals everywhere. Another holiday concert pick, Eleonore first wore this loose-fitting dress for a 2021 Christmas performance.

King Philippe, Prince Gabriel, and Prince Emmanuel were not left out of the fun, though – all three wore patterned ties with their suits for their holiday portrait.
