As he prepares to take the White House for a second time, every move made by Donald Trump is under the spotlight and that includes an interview showing him revelling in his royal photo album.
During his campaign for the US Presidency, which ended with him being elected on November 5th 2024, he spoke to reporters on board his private plane. And one of the best known was given a tour of Donald Trump’s previous royal encounters.
He showed Tucker Carlson, formerly a host on Fox News, a book about his time in the White House between 2016 and 2020 and was very keen to reflect on the State Visit he paid to the UK.
Flicking through a book, he highlighted images of him with Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace during that historic visit in 2019. He described Her Late Majesty as ”fantastic” and said ”these were relationships, too.”
He also found photos of King Charles, who he called ”a really good person” and Queen Camilla who, like her late mother in law, was also called ”fantastic”.
And he said of The King ”hopefully, he’s going to be well, because he’s a really good person.”
The chat came while Donald Trump was filmed for a docu-series called ‘Art of the Surge’ which shows behind the scenes footage of the campaign which would see him elected for a second term as US President, winning both the electoral college and the popular vote.
There is already speculation that Donald Trump may make another State Visit during his next tenure as US President.
