
Carole and Michael Middleton attended the eighth day of Wimbledon on dayy 8, joining an illustrious line-up in the Royal Box.
Although the Princess of Wales has yet to attend the Championships so far this year, it is hoped that Her Royal Highness may make an appearance later this week – she usually presents the trophies at the Singles finals which take place this year on July 12 and 13.
The Princess’s parents were joined in the Royal Box by the Duchess of Edinburgh and the Duchess of Gloucester.
Also present was King Frederik of Denmark – an avid tennis fan – who came to sheer on Danish player Clara Tauson in the quarter finals.
The Daily Mail reports that it is ‘very likely’ that the Princess of Wales will attend this year’s Championships.
Her Royal Highness is patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club – a role she has held since 2021 when she took over from the Duke of Kent.
However, the 43-year-old royal has been limiting her public engagements recently as she continues to recover from cancer treatment.
The Princess was forced to pull out of a planned appearance at Royal Ascot last month as she continues to find the right balance between work and recovery. However, in the days before she had been seen at the annual Garter service and Trooping the Colour.
Just last week, Catherine spoke emotionally about the impact of cancer treatment.
