A dancing queen and a striking royal jewel

The Queen chose an elegantly appropriate accessory for her first visit to the English National Ballet since becoming its patron.

Queen Camilla wore a striking brooch – in the shape of a ballerina.

Her Majesty turned to her Bouton d’Or Ballerina Clip from Van Cleef & Arpels.

The brooch is made of gold and shows a ballerina on points.

The dancer’s dress is decorated with diamonds, turquoises and lapis lazuli.

It’s a relatively new piece in the royal collection. Queen Camilla debuted it in 2022 when meeting with Mikhail Baryshnikov, Darcey Bussell and Carlos Acosta.

And it’s been given another artistically appropriate show now as Her Majesty chose it for her visit to the English National Ballet where she spoke of her pride in becoming its patron.
