The Dutch Royal Family is getting into the holiday spirit this weekend with a little help for a big tree.
King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima have shared a behind-the-scenes look as their outdoor Christmas tree was put up in the forecourt of Huis ten Bosch Palace in the Hague.
A cherry picker and a team of skilled workers were on hand to erect the massive tree outside the palace and get it cleaned up for holiday celebrations.
The Dutch royals shared that the tree has over 400 LED lights.
The tree was first lit on Sunday to mark the first Sunday of Advent which traditionally begins on the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day.
The King and Queen of the Netherlands also released the photos from their annual winter photoshoot this week, another holiday tradition for the family. They were joined by their three daughters, Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess Alexia and Princess Ariane, as well as the family pup, Mambo.Â
Queen Maxima chose a white casual coat from her favourite designer, Natan, while Princess Amalia wore a tan Ralph Lauren jumper, jeans, and a By Malene Birger coat. Princess Alexia wore a Zara coat, Valentino top, and Zara skirt.
Princess Ariane stole the show with her fuschia Alicia Audrey coat, as did the very cuddly Mambo who decided that royal photocalls should be no bar to the daily routine and stopped by a nearby tree for a toilet break.
