King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden is to undergo heart surgery on the advice of his doctors.
His Majesty will have the procedure on Monday 20th February 2023.
A royal spokesperson says the operation will be performed using keyhole surgery.
The King will spend a few weeks recovering from the procedure, with all engagements from February 20th to March 3rd cancelled.
The Royal Household says His Majesty is in good health, and will carry on with his diary of engagements until he is admitted to hospital on 20th February.
