Prince Daniel gets helping hand for big race

Prince Daniel’s Race Day took place this weekend and Prince Oscar joined his dad for a fun day in Solna.

Prince Daniel and Prince Oscar looked to have a great Sunday at Hagaparken for Prince Daniel’s Race Day, also known as GenPep. Prince Daniel founded the event to help children understand the importance of movement and exercise and to enjoy being active.

Sunday’s event included a race, movement classes, table tennis, mini-golf fencing, and more, open to children of any age and ability. Prince Daniel happily handed out medals to race participants as they crossed the finish line of the race.

While his father was busy with the race, eight year old Prince Oscar made the most of his day. He was full of concentration when he gave table tennis a try.

The young prince wore the official red GenPep shirt for the day, as well as the official H&M x GenPep wide-brimmed cap and looked happy to be out with his dad.

Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle were in Paris for the weekend with Queen Silvia to support Sweden’s Paralympians at the 2024 Summer Paralympics. Princess Estelle has taken part in Prince Daniel’s Race Day in many previous years.
