Crown Princess Family of Sweden releases new photos for Pentecost

The Crown Princess Family of Sweden has released two new spring-themed images to mark Pentecost. Both photos were taken by Linda Broström outside of the family’s home at Haga Palace this month.

One photo features the happy family of four with their dog, Rio, while the second picture shows Princess Estelle, 9, and Prince Oscar, 5, lying in the flowers. The siblings match in denim jackets.

The images were shared on the Royal Family’s social media accounts with the message: “A long-awaited spring has blossomed in full glory and Pentecost, the time of rapture, is here. With these pictures from a green Haga, the Crown Princess couple wants to wish everyone a happy Pentecost.”

Pentecost is a Christian holiday that takes place 50 days after Easter Sunday. It marks the Holy Spirit’s descent on Jesus’s disciples after he ascended into Heaven. This year it was celebrated on 23 May.

Crown Princess Victoria’s next engagement is tomorrow, where she will attend the annual meeting of the Nordic Museum and Skansen’s Friends. Prince Daniel’s next event is on Tuesday, where he will attend a virtual meeting with Minister for Employment Eva Nordmark alongside the King, Queen and Crown Princess.

The Royal Family will celebrate National Day on 6 June, but the Royal Court has not announced any plans yet. It is not known how the ongoing pandemic will impact the holiday.
