Princess Amalia reveals where she will attend university

The Princess of Orange has revealed where she will attend university.

Princess Amalia, 18, will attend the University of Amsterdam to study for her bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics (PPLE).

She went through the application and selection procedure throughout the last year.

Amalia will begin living in Amsterdam in September. She will live in a rented space with fellow students.

The RVD (Dutch Information Service) has stressed that her university studies will remain private.

Princess Amalia graduated high school with distinction in June 2021 from Christelijk Gymnasium Sorghvliet. She chose to take a gap year before entering university. During this time, she has travelled and taken on internships.

Amalia is first in line to the Dutch throne and, as such, holds the title of Princess of Orange. Her father, King Willem-Alexander, ascended the throne in 2013 upon the abdication of his mother, Beatrix.
