Prince Charles of Luxembourg joins his parents for visit to Schueberfouer

Prince Charles of Luxembourg has joined his parents for a visit to Schueberfouer.

The two-year-old was able to experience the Luxembourgish summer festival alongside his dad and mum, Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie.

The Grand Ducal Court described the little royal as “very curious” during the event, and he rode the traditional carousel ride and a bumper car with his smiling father and also went duck fishing with his mother. In addition, the Prince rode a small water ride and played with other festival games and toys.

Prince Charles was also able to try some festival food, including a waffle, dessert and juice.

The Grand Ducal Court went on to describe the family day out as “an unforgettable family moment.”

They later shared a video of the day on their official Instagram account.

Prince Charles left the festival with a toy car and another prize that he won while duck fishing.

Schueberfouer was initially an eight-day market that began in 1340. By the 19th century, the market transformed into the family festival that is seen and enjoyed today.

The famous festival, which is in its 680th year, concludes on 7 September.
