Programme released for Danish Crown Prince Couple’s visit to France

On Thursday, the Danish Royal House released the programme for Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary’s official visit to Paris, France which will take place next week. The Crown Prince Couple will lead a Danish business delegation from 7 October to 9 October during the visit which is named “Denmark and France – together for a better life and a sustainable future”. The visit will focus on healthcare as well as energy and sustainable cities.

On 7 October, the Crown Prince Couple will start the day by attending the official start of the business promotion visit at La Grande Arche. They will also meet the Danish companies taking part in the visit. The couple will then split for the rest of the day as Crown Prince Frederik will visit the electricity producer EDF Group, the district heating producer Dalkia’s showroom and visit an architectural conference for the 30th anniversary of La Grande Arche while Crown Princess Mary will visit the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital. In the evening, the couple will attend a reception for the 30th anniversary of La Grande Arche.

The second day of the visit will also mainly consist of solo events for the couple as Crown Prince Frederik will attend meetings with the Social Committee of the French National Assembly and with representatives of the European Commission while Crown Princess Mary will visit the nursing home Korian Monceau and attend a procurement seminar at the Danish church in Paris.

In the afternoon, Crown Prince Frederik will visit the La Seine Musicale Music Hall and the urban development project on the Ile de Séguin before attending a wind seminar in the La Défense business district and the conference Development of Greater Paris. Crown Princess Mary will take part in an investment seminar in the House of Denmark before attending a business lunch at Restaurant Flora Danica and visiting the private hospital Les Peupliers.

In the evening, the couple will attend a reception at Paris City Hall. The reception will be followed by a grand dinner for the business delegation to mark the end of the business trip and the dinner will be attended by Prince Joachim and Princess Marie who are currently living in Paris.

While the official business visit will be over on the evening of 8 October, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary will spend a third day in Paris. On 9 October, Crown Prince Frederik will visit the French entrepreneurial campus, Station F and take part in a round table on cybersecurity at the Ministry of Economy and Finance while Crown Princess Mary will visit a school with French First Lady Brigitte Macron.
