King Frederik and Queen Mary of Denmark have been busy this week on their final summer cruise which will come to an end on Thursday, 22 August.
The Danish monarch goes on shorter cruises each summer to visit different communities across Denmark, travelling on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog.
On Monday, the couple visited Bornholm in coordinating outfits of casual white shirts and brown trousers. They met with local business owners after chatting with the crowds waiting to greet them.
King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived on Ærø on Tuesday morning and started their day again by meeting with local community members, including several elderly residents from a local care home that waited to meet them. In the evening, the royal couple hosted local residents for a buffet aboard Dannebrog featuring a unique menu of salmon, crayfish, rooster, and porcupine.
Wednesday was a busy day in Assens for the Danish royals. The King and Queen split up with Queen Mary heading to a local school to meet with pupils while King Frederik went to the stadium to meet the Assens FC Optimus football team, a team for students with special needs.
They continued their day in Assens by visiting a reforestation project and hosted another reception aboard Dannebrog.
King Frederik and Queen Mary will arrive in Vejle Municipality for the last day of their cruise.
