Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan expecting her third child

Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan is expecting her third child with King Jigme Khesar.

Her pregnancy was confirmed in a short announcement.

There had been rumours of a pregnancy during her trip to Jordan for Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa’s wedding on 1 June.

The Queen visited the baptismal site of Jesus Christ with her two sons, Crown Prince Jigme Namgyel and Prince Ugyen Wangchuck and sister-in-law, Princess Euphemia. In the photos posted by the Jordanian Ministry of Tourism on Twitter, Her Majesty appeared to have a baby bump.

Now, official confirmation has come through. The baby is expected in early autumn and the King and Queen of Bhutan have thanked everyone for their good wishes as they shared their happy news.
