The Prince and Princess of Wales arrive at Balmoral hours after Harry and Meghan’s surprise move to the UK is confirmed

The Prince and Princess of Wales are now in Balmoral with The King and Queen.

William and Kate arrived at the Royal Family’s Scottish residence just hours after it was confirmed that Harry and Meghan are returning to live in the UK.

The Prince and Princess, along with their three children, are spending several days at Balmoral with King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Hello! reported the family had arrived there on August 20, less than 24 hours after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said they were heading back to the UK for the next chapter in their lives.

Mike and Zara Tindall are already at Balmoral – they were seen with Peter Phillips and his family watching the official welcome ceremony for King Charles as he took up residence in his Scottish home.

Along with 13 year old Prince George, 11 year old Princess Charlotte and 8 year old Prince Louis, William and Kate will spend several days at Balmoral. The children are due back at school in early September.

Their arrival comes just hours after Harry and Meghan’s plans to move back to the UK were confirmed. The couple are set to arrive imminently as their children, Archie and Lilibet, are now enrolled in British schools and will also go back to class in September.

Prince William and Prince Harry haven’t spoken for several years after the Duke of Sussex made a series of claims in interviews and his book, Spare.

It’s understood that the heir to the throne was informed of his brother’s return to the UK before it was made public. However, King Charles only found out on Sunday. He had last seen his younger son in July when he welcomed the Sussex family to Highgrove for afternoon tea.

King Charles is said to be happy he will be able to see Harry and his grandchildren more often in a private capacity but it has been made clear that there is no return to working royal life for Harry and Meghan. The half in half out arrangement discussed when they quit their royal roles is also not on the cards.
