The Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed another heir to the throne to Windsor for a stand out moment on this royal visit to the UK.

William and Kate hosted the Crown Prince of Jordan at Windsor Castle as he continued an official visit to the country.

Crown Prince Al Hussein was joined by his wife, Princess Rajwa, at the meeting. Afterwards, Prince William and Jordan’s Crown Prince headed to RAF Benson which provides rapid support for UK military operations around the world.

Crown Prince Al Hussein and Princess Rajwa are currently on a visit of several days to the UK. Earlier in the week, Princess Rajwa toured Springfield University Hospital in south London with Princess Eugenie.

The two were shown artworks created by charity Hospital Rooms. It focuses on art as a support in mental health care areas and the princesses were shown some of the pieces that are already in situ.

Crown Prince Al Hussein has had a series of high level meetings during his time in the UK. He met the Foreign Secretary, Yvette Cooper, where the two discussed peace in the Middle East.

This visit has also seen meetings with the Chief of the Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Knighton, to talk about strengthening partnerships between the two countries.

The heir to the Jordanian throne also headed to the Houses of Parliament where he met Commons Speaker, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.

The trip to Windsor saw the two couples chat with the Prince and Princess of Wales later saying it was ”a pleasure” to welcome their Jordanian counterparts to Windsor.

William and Kate have known the Jordanian royal couple for some time and were among the guests at their wedding in 2023. Crown Prince Al Hussein and Princess Rajwa welcomed their first child, Princess Iman, in 2024.

Their time in London follows another high profile, official visit to Paris where they were welcomed to the Elysee Palace by President Emmanuel Macron.
