Princess Catharina Amalia of the Netherlands joined her mother, Queen Maxima, for a major step forward in her royal career.

The Princess of Orange joined the Dutch queen in Washington, DC to attend several UN committee meetings before the General Assembly.

Queen Maxima is the UN Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Financial Health, a role that advocates for financial development, support, and security from governments, industry partners, corporations, charitable organisations, and more.

Princess Amalia was able to sit in on several of her mother’s meetings to learn more about the UN and how its committees work.

The Princess chose a striking navy velvet trouser suit with a white blouse for her first UN outing, choosing a red leather Gianvito Rossi slingback shoe.

Like mother like daughter- Queen Maxima also wore a blue trouser suit. She opted for a light blue Max Mara trouser suit, also pairing her suit with a pair of Gianvito Rossi shoes.

Queen Maxima and Princess Catharina and Amalia were then in New York City to attend the 80th meeting of the United Nations General Assembly.

Several royals attended the UN General Assembly, including Queen Mathilde of the Belgians and Queen Silvia of Sweden.
