The Princess of Wales’s longstanding personal assistant and friend, Natasha Archer, is leaving Kensington Palace life for pastures new.
Mrs Archer, who has been right hand woman to the Princess for 15 years, is leaving to pursue her own consultancy firm.
The trusted assistant has worked for Catherine since 2010, before her marriage to Prince William.
Mrs Archer has long been an appreciated member of the Kensington Palace staff, with her receiving recognition in the 2019 New Year Honours List.
She was inducted as a member of the Royal Victorian Order – an accolade awarded to individuals who have personally served the monarch with distinction.
It was created in April 1896 by Queen Victoria, who wished to formally recognise those who had personally served her.
Although the Order is usually given to staff upon them leaving their posts, Mrs Archer was awarded the insignia six years ago.
The role of personal assistant involved advising the Princess of Wales on matters of fashion, and is credited with the famous blue and white dress Catherine wore when exiting the Lindo Wing after Prince George’s birth.
She is also her stylist, deciding on outfits, jewellery and other accessories for appearances and tours.
