Bright and bold fashion is the theme of the summer for the Dutch royals

The Dutch royal Ffmily has shared a favourite summer tradition with us- we have new portraits of the family, complete with some seriously gorgeous looks.

Each summer, King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands are joined by their three daughters, Princess Catharina Amalia, Princess Alexia, and Princess Ariane, for a photoshoot.

Queen Maxima channeled Anne of Green Gables in choosing the Zimmerman Wylie Lantern Midi Dress. The white and blue paisley print gown features puffed sleeves, a must-have no matter what is in fashion.

Heir to the throne, Princess Amalia, paired her white skinny jeans with a bold, satin crop top with her own puffed sleeves- from the current queen to the future queen! From ROTATE Birger Christensen, the green floral crop top capitalises on several summer trends.

The heir to the throne also notably was missing her arm sling, as she broke her arm earlier in June and required surgery.

Princess Alexia embraced the greenery of the season with a bright green, cotton midi dress. While the look may appear plain from the front, the cut-out details in the back elevate the look.

The youngest princess chose to make her own sartorial statement with a bold set from Max Mara. Princess Ariane paired a striped linen and cotton waistcoat with a coordinating pair of Palazzo trousers, a fashion forward look for the young royal.
