First into the royal box at Wimbledon 2025 – Sarah, Duchess of York

Princess Beatrice, in a cool blue striped shirt dress, is joined by her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York, in the royal box on the opening day of Wimbledon 2025.

There was a surprise first appearance in the royal box at Wimbledon 2025 as Princess Beatrice and her mum took centre stage on Centre Court.

Beatrice was joined by Sarah, Duchess of York on the first day of this year’s All England Championship.

The two enjoyed a thrilling match between defending champion, Carlos Alcarez, and Italian player, Fabio Fognini.

Also in the royal box was the newly knighted Sir David Beckham. The former England captain was seen chatting with the former manager of the men’s national team, Sir Gareth Southgate.

Best selling author, Richard Osman, also joined the royal box party on opening day with his wife, Ingrid Oliver.

Wimbledon usually attracts royal support throughout the Championship which is set to run for two weeks.

The Princess of Wales is expected to attend and is due, as is customary, to present the trophies at the end of the tournament.

In recent years, Catherine has been accompanied by Princess Charlotte.
