The Queen has sent a heartfelt message to the people of Canada following the attacks in Saskatchewan which have left eleven dead.
In a personal message, Her Majesty said ”I would like to extend my condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the attacks that occurred this past weekend in Saskatchewan. My thoughts and prayers are with those recovering from injuries, and grieving such horrific losses.”
The Queen continued ”I mourn with all Canadians at this tragic time.”

A series of knife attacks took place in two Saskatchewan communities on September 4th 2022. Eleven people died and another eighteen were injured in the stabbings on the James Smith Cree Nation and the nearby community of Weldon.
The Royal Canadian Police said they were searching for two suspects initially. One has since been found dead while the other remains at large.
Earlier, the Duke of Cambridge had sent a message to Saskatchewan, saying ” Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of these horrific acts and all those that have lost loved ones. Catherine and I send our best wishes to the people of Canada. W”
