Princess Charlene appears with Prince Albert in surprise Easter photos

Princess Charlene has stepped back into public life as she celebrated Easter with with her family.

The princess hasn’t been seen in public since returning to Monaco at the end of last year. She had spent over half of 2021 in South Africa after becoming stranded there having developed complications from an ear, nose and throat infection.

Charlene was seen with her husband, Prince Albert, and their twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, in new photos.

Sitting on the ground, cuddling her daughter, Charlene looked happy and relaxed. Her son sat beside her while Albert put his hand on her shoulder.

The picture was shared to mark Easter with an Easter bunny also making an appearance. A second photo showed all four smiling at the camera. In the images, posted on Princess Charlene’s Instagram and the Princely Palace’s official Facebook page, the family were also seen attending an Easter service.

At Easter 2021, Charlene posted a photo of her family on her official Instagram. Soon afterwards, she headed to southern African on a conservation trip. However, on arrival, she developed complications from an earlier ENT procedure and health issues meant she spent the next six months away from Monaco.

On her return, in November 2021, an official statement said she needed peace as she recovered. She has made no public appearances since posing, briefly, with her family on her arrival back in Monaco.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Prince Albert had tested positive for coronavirus. He was reported to be asymptomatic but no details on Princess Charlene’s health were released.
