Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark to exhibit his photographs in London this summer

His Royal Highness Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark will be exhibiting his photographs in London this summer. Prince Nikolaos announced on his Instagram-profile this week that he will soon be exhibiting at this year’s big London Design Biennale, which is a creative forum for some of the world’s most talented designers and artists.

His Royal Highness said in the statement: “It is a privilege to be presenting at the upcoming London Design Biennale with my work ‘Together’. Using an immersive installation, I explore how the pandemic has affected our view of the physical world and our space within it, forcing us to re-evaluate and alter human relationships, encouraging us back to our roots for inspiration.”

The art exhibition will take place at Somerset House in London from 1 – 27 June. In the latest post on the prince’s Instagram profile, he shares another photo of his artwork with a olive tree, and writes that the work is inspired by a visit to Milos in 2018.

London Design Biennale wrote on their webpage: “Searching for ways the past resonates with the present and future, Prince Nikolaos investigates the natural treasure emanating from Greek soil: the olive tree and its fruit, with its glorious golden hues. Not much has changed in the way we grow and harvest olive trees from ancient times until today.”

Prince Nikolao’s wife, Princess Tatiana, praises her husband on her Instagram profile. She said: “I could not be more proud or more excited to see this dream come true when Nikolaos exhibits at the London Design Biennale next week! This year has been challenging but also educational.

Against all odds – the show will go on! Congratulations on not giving up. This picture is without a doubt one of my favourites – ‘Together’. To focus on Greece, the strength of nature and strong roots. Everything you represent. I am your fan number one.”

The Danish and Greek prince is the nephew of Queen Margrethe of Denmark. Prince Nikolaos works as an art photographer and is the only one of King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie’s children to live in Greece, like his parents.
