Crown Prince Frederik attends leadership conference

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark participated in the conference “Research meets practice – Public leadership succeeds” in Copenhagen. Earlier this month, the same conference was held in Aarhus, and the Crown Prince also attended this event. Upon arrival, the Crown Prince was received by professor and centre manager for “Crown Prince Frederik’s Centre for Public Management”, Lotte Bøgh Andersen, associate professor and deputy centre manager Mads Leth Felsager Jakobsen and associate professor and education manager Anne Mette Kjeldsen.

His Royal Highness gave a speech during the first part of the conference, where a number of speeches were also live-streamed to conference participants. The second part of the conference was divided into five tracks, where the participants in each track participated in two workshops and a final reflection session.

The conference was hosted by “Crown Prince Frederik’s Centre for Public Management” at Aarhus University and aimed to bring together practitioners, decision-makers and management researchers to create knowledge about public management. “Crown Prince Frederik’s Centre for Public Management” is an interdisciplinary research centre that is physically located at the Department of Political Science at Aarhus University. The centre opened in May 2018 on the occasion of His Royal Highness’ 50th birthday.

Every year in May, the centre holds a conference for anyone with an interest in public management. Due to the pandemic, no conference was held last year and this year’s event was held digitally. The Crown Prince is involved in the centre’s work and always participates in the annual committee meeting.
