Duchess Down Under: Meghan sports earrings gifted by Prime Minister of New Zealand

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent a busy day in Wellington, New Zealand yesterday meeting with young people to discuss mental health initiatives, visiting Abel Tasman National Park, and then visiting with Courtenay Creative for a reception to celebrate the arts scene in New Zealand.

Meghan kicked off the day at the iconic Maranui Café in Wellington, where she and Harry discussed mental health work with a group of young people involved in mental health organisations around New Zealand.

For this part of the day, Meghan wore a seaweed green trench coat by Club Monaco over a thick, black turtleneck sweater. Its provenance is unknown. Her Outland Denim jeans are her previously worn Helen-style jeans, and she wore a pair of lace-up black suede boots by Stuart Weitzman.

Her earrings were a gift from Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, the Boh Runga Discologo Studs, featuring the Huia feather in a modern update.

For a visit to Abel Tasman National Park, Meghan wore a jacket by the Cornish design firm Seasalt, in a design that hasn’t been released yet. It’s believed to be part of an upcoming collection.

Meghan swapped out her Stuart Weitzman boots for a pair of faux leather sneakers by Stella McCartney and Adidas.

For the visit to Courtenay Creative, Meghan wore a sleek white tuxedo dress by Maggie Marilyn, a New Zealand designer. The dress is bespoke and modified from a blazer dress in Marilyn’s existing collection.

Meghan wore a diamond pendant she’s previously sported during the tour, a diamond pendant that replicates the Koru tattoo from Maori tradition, and the earrings that Prime Minister Ardern gifted her. Meghan also wore a pair of Manolo Blahnik blue suede pumps.

On Tuesday, Harry and Meghan will continue their tour of New Zealand, with events in Auckland.
